All right friends.
Yesterday was the first day of classes and let me tell you I am so ready for this semester. I’m ready to just be better. Better at school. Better at organization. Better at getting things done. Just better.
I’m not saying I wasn’t “good” before hand but I definitely have a few character flaws that I would really like to work on. I do well in school but I most certainly can do better and I would really like to work on that this semester.
Another thing I want to work on is living each day. I know I touched on this in my 2018 intentions but it’s a big problem that I have. I usually just let every day pass without really caring what happens during it. I wake up in the morning, do what I have to do, and then go to sleep every night. Instead of just doing what I have to do as if every day is a task, I want to do things that I need to get done but also things that fulfill me.
My mom got me this awesome planner and it is really helping me stay on top of things. In addition to the planner I have a blank journal and every night on a new page I write down my intentions for the next day. Whether that be tasks/assignments that I need to get done, errands to run, or just things to keep in mind. At the end of every day I go through my intentions and reflect on whether or not I did them, whether or not I could’ve done them better, or how to plan better for the next day.
I guess I just want to be more prepared for each day as it comes. I want to make sure I get the most out of every day, and that I have lived every day to its fullest potential. (gurl how many times can u say “every day”)
Having Charley Doodle has definitely helped me with my days. He gives me something to work on whether that be teaching him a new skill or just overall manner training. Having a puppy is hard LOL. But I’m really glad that I have the opportunity to nurture him into a great, well-trained dog. I would definitely say that this is a goal of mine. I don’t really have a deadline for it and I don’t really have a step-by-step plan to achieve this goal. I just have to take every day as it comes as Charley is always learning – or getting into – new things.
I want to quickly share what I wore to class. Nothing new – or fancy – here. I have worn this cardigan too many times to count in the past three weeks that I have had it. It’s just so warm! Underneath it I am wearing this suuuuuuper cozy inside out noodie from Aerie. I bought two colors because it is so comfy! They are sold out but you can find a similar one here. (This one is on sale and comes in so many colors!) I, of course, had to match my scrunchie to my sweater. Is it bad that my hair usually ends up in a scrunchie by the end of the day? Can someone let me know the answer to this? Finally, I have my “second-skin” leggings (you cannot feel the cold outside when you wear them. I’m not kidding!) and my favorite sneakers!
That’s all I have for you today – time for me to go to work.
Here’s to being better, my friends!
