A Fruity Breakfast!

So remember what I said about fruit?

That it’s your best friend?  Well it’s true.  I can’t remember the last time I didn’t eat a million pounds of fruit each day.

With this diet, it is hard not to feel like you eat the same thing every day: fruit, veggies, and meat.  And, well, that’s because you do.  My biggest struggle once I switched to an all-whole-food diet was boredom.  When I get bored of a food, it is really hard for me to stomach it.  So my mom and I have spent the past few weeks trying out different ways to make this diet fun and delicious.

This meal is truly DELICIOUS.  My mom loves eating it for breakfast, but I actually prefer it for dessert! (It’s THAT good.)

The Ingredients:

1 banana

1 handful of berries (I used blueberries and raspberries here, but I also use blackberries and strawberries)

1 handful of chopped nuts (I used almonds and walnuts, I also LOVE pecans)

Almond milk

Cinnamon

Chop up the banana, pour in the berries and nuts, sprinkle the cinnamon, and add the almond milk!  The amount of cinnamon you use depends on what you prefer.  My mom usually douses hers in cinnamon and holds back on the milk.  I prefer more milk and less cinnamon than she does.  Just depends on what you want!

It’s really that simple.

The berries and bananas are the perfect amount of sweet, and the nuts are a great texture-breaker. (I’m ALLLL about texture with my foods, who else is with me on that??)
