Hello beautiful people! Happy Mardi Gras! I can’t believe Lent starts tomorrow. Didn’t Christmas just happen?!?!
I’m not here to shove my religion down your throat. But since this blog is basically my journal, I’m here to tell ya’ll what I’m sacrificing for Lent!
“Chick-fil-a?!?!?!?!?” you might be thinking. And my answer would be “technically!”
So I’m just gonna say it….
ALL ANIMAL PRODUCTS!!
YEP. You read that right. I’m going vegan.
Ever since I did the Whole30 last year, I’ve been extremely interested in different lifestyles. I have always admired and been drawn to Veganism. But the thing is, I love meat. Steak is my favorite meal and I think I have chicken or eggs at least once a day. I gave up dairy with the Whole30 and didn’t find myself missing it too much, which I was really surprised about.
I know that going Vegan will definitely be a challenge for me. And I’ve put off trying it because I’ve been too afraid. But last year, I didn’t give up anything for Lent due to having my two surgeries during it, so this year I really want to challenge myself.
And I’m up for the challenge. Lent starting tomorrow is the perfect excuse to get my lifestyle back on track, as I’ve kinda slipped up these past few months. I know how great I felt during and after doing the Whole30, so I can only imagine how good I’m going to feel if I successfully stick to going vegan.
And who knows, I might fall in love with it and never turn back!
So today I am celebrating the end of my meat-eating chapter and the start to what could possibly be the rest of my life!!
